Amy Catanzano

Amy Catanzano’s writing moves between genres and disciplines, often with a focus on the intersections of poetry, art, and branches of science such as physics and astronomy. She is the author of Starlight in Two Million: A Neo-Scientific Novella, a hybrid work combining poetry with prose and the winner of the Noemi Press Book Award in Fiction; Multiversal, winner of the PEN USA Literary Award in Poetry as well as the POL Prize from Fordham University Press; iEpiphany; and creative nonfiction and digital poetry projects. She regularly conducts site visits to scientific research centers, where she carries out innovative research for her writing and gives lectures and readings. In 2018, she was the inaugural poet-in-residence at the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics at Stony Brook University. She is an associate professor and the poet-in-residence at Wake Forest University and has an MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
