Brian Evenson
Brian Evenson is the author of more than a dozen books of fiction, most recently the story collection Songs for the End of the World (2019). His novel Last Days won the 2009 ALA-RUSA Award. His novel The Open Curtain (Coffee House Press) was a finalist for an Edgar Award and an IHG Award. Other books include The Wavering Knife (which won the IHG Award for best story collection), Dark Property, and Altmann's Tongue. He has five times been a finalist for the Shirley Jackson Award and is the recipient of three O. Henry Prizes as well as an NEA fellowship. In 2017 he received a Guggenheim Fellowship. He teaches in the MFA Creative Writing Program at CalArts.
